If you didn't know, I am a big fan of the State of Decay game series. I bought the first game on Xbox 360 (am Xbox Live Arcade game) and on Steam (for PC). I also bought the State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition (YOSE) on Steam (for PC) when it was released as the original game had a lot of bugs. Then later I bought State of Decay 2 on Steam (for PC). I have spent many hours on all of these titles and I'm highly anticipating State of Decay 3 which is currently in development.
Luckily YouTuber Sunny Games has been following Undead Labs and State of Decay, and trying to find out any information he can about the upcoming State Of Decay 3 game. Make sure to check out his SoD videos and recently he released the below video where he references a quote by Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty, where he brings up State of Decay 3 and we may see something in 2025/2026.
