State of Decay 3 may be more focused on narrative elements

Take everything you hear about State of Decay 3 with a "grain of salt," as we haven't heard Undead Labs confirm anything. So with that in mind, I saw a video created by YouTuber Sunny Games where he talks about an article that Jez Corden wrote on windowscentral.com (link below), specifically the part about State of Decay 3. I've added the quote below for you to read fully, but you can also watch Sunny's video below too.

From the quote, State of Decay 3 is going to lean more into narrative elements, which I took as meaning the game's story, the characters and their stories, the setting of where the game is going to take place, etc. If you played State of Decay 2 you know that the same stories/missions happen in every playthrough. I wonder how different that will work in SoD3. What are your thoughts on this information?

"... I've heard via trusted sources that State of Decay 3 does look far more impressive than its predecessor, with more attention to visual presentation being a core pillar. In addition, State of Decay 3 will also lean more heavily into narrative elements to immerse you in the game's world. Your community in State of Decay 2 is your "main character," but their back stories rarely come into play while experiencing the game. State of Decay 3 will try to work individual community members backstories more viscerally into gameplay, to make their trials more impactful and immersive. Losing your favorite community member to the plague should be more of a gut punch in State of Decay 3 as a result."
