WTF Capcom!? You're making the wrong dinosaur game

Today PlayStation had their State of Play broadcast and the first reveal trailer they showed was for a new upcoming game named Exoprimal, which looks like Anthem meets Dino Crisis / Jurassic Park, in a squad-based hero shooter type of game. Exoprimal's Twitter account states, "Two teams of five players in powered armor battle hordes of dinosaurs. Only one team will survive." The game will be releasing on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC in 2023. Check out the trailer below.

Exoprimal Reveal Trailer | State of Play March 2022

Video description: Capcom is back at it with dinosaurs and exosuits in Exoprimal. In Exoprimal, you'll find yourself controlling an exosuit, and humanity's greatest hope, as you take on prehistoric dinosaurs who have been warped into a futuristic city. Exoprimal is a brand new IP from Capcom, and is set to release 2023 on PS4 and PS5.

Who owns the Dino Crisis IP?

So Capcom, wtf are you doing? You own a dinosaur IP named Dino Crisis that you don't seem to be doing anything with and gamers who grew up playing the Dino Crisis games want a new one or even a remaster of the first game, as you did with the Resident Evil series. Why do another hero-based shooter that no one asked for? It's microtransactions, isn't it?

I guess we can only hope that Capcom wakes up and brings the Dino Crisis series back in some way. What are your thoughts on this?

Dinosaur games

Right now the only dinosaur hero shooter game I can think of is Second Extinction, which is an Early Access game being made by a small team. However I am aware of a few other dinosaur games currently being developed, which are more survival horror based and not hero shooters, such as Instinction, The Lost Wild, and Dinos Reborn.
