The Resident Evil Showcase stream today gave us a new trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil Village game, which of course included everyone's favorite Lady Dimitrescu and new footage. Resident Evil Village will launch on May 7th on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, and Stadia. The stream also informed us that:
- There will be a Resident Evil Village one hour demo available on May 1st on all platforms.
- A Mercenaries mode will come with the main game which will have high-speed arcade-style action time limited challenges.
- A Netflix CG animated series, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is coming in July 2021, which takes place in 2006, two years after RE4, and focus on Leon and Claire during a zombie outbreak in the White House where the President is Ashley's father from RE4.
- Resident Evil is coming to Dead by Daylight in June 2021
- RE4 VR is coming to Quest 2.
- And before the stream started there was footage of RE:Verse, a multiplayer deathmatch mode which lets you be and battle RE characters such as Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy. RE:Verse will come with Resident Evil Village.
