New info about the upcoming The Callisto Protocol game

Do you all remember the reveal trailer back in December 2020 at the Game Awards 2020 for The Callisto Protocol? The trailer caught a lot of people by surprise and to hear that it is being made by Dead Space director Glen Schofield really excited gamers. I am in no way a horror game gamer, but this is one game I would watch my favorite YouTubers/streamers play.

Recently a digital issue of Game Informer had a piece with a few screenshots and info about the upcoming game. The Callisto Protocol is an upcoming story-driven, single-player survival horror game. The game will be coming in the second half of 2022; cross-gen has been confirmed; the main character will have abilities that he can push and pull things towards him; there will be ranged combat and melee combat; and the enemies are called "Biophages." You can see the screenshots via this Twitter post. I don't know about anyone else but the creatures in these screenshots remind me somewhat of the ones in the old 1982 movie, The Thing.

YouTuber MathChief - The Best of Gaming! put out a video talking about the released info and showed the screenshots in his video, which you can watch below.
